Thank You, my friend! It has been a heck of a year! For the past 6 months, ever since I became a member of this fabulous family, I have taken on a new attitude toward all this craziness around us - I have become more tolerant, yet still get on my soapbox when necessary. I have a new respect for life and of those close to me, and especially my friends out there in Puterland. The vicarious adventures that I have had with you and Kim, and others will stay in my memory banks as long as this PC hangs together! And the bond grows... so, keep that smile in your heart, but keep your powder dry! It's gotta be a better time ahead. Let your New Year be the Happiest, and may it bring yiou much joy! Let's hope that the cubs of Karula, Whitecloth, and Safari be healthy, safe, and happy. And available for viewing very soon! And may Humgo, the Judge, and Wonky enjoy another good year!
Yup I was up early there was a power dip at 3:30am and had to get things up and running again to where the sound on Djuma1 wasn't coming out. I tried a few things, then eventually it worked it self out.
Hope you have a great holiday season
Hi, there! Got your message! Judy's been down with a bug for the past several days, so our Thanksgiving dinner will be moved back until her appetite comes back in full tilt! Otherwise, things are fine here!
What about Dan II, nicknamed (Kong) : born 16-Sept-1969 at Kansas City; Deceased 04-March-2003 at Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo. Owner Salt Lake City's Hogle Zoo. Father : Big Man; Mother : Kribi Kate; both were born in the wild and owned by Kansas City Zoo. Dan II left no offspring.
Probably Dan II was rapatriated to his owner zoo at Salt Lake City for a few years after the death of Dan I. Later he was sent to Omaha.
That's all the information I can have from the Studbook.
Do you follow Koko's life at the Gorilla Foundation on koko.org?
There is also Gorilla Haven where you can read a lot of informations and bios of past and present zoo gorillas. Gorilla Haven is also home for Joe and Oliver. Jane and Steuart Dewar are really "incredibly special" persons : gorilla-haven.org.
I was supposed to visit Gorilla Haven last Spring when I fell ill with bronchitis 7 miles away from Philadelphia. After 3 days in a motel room, I decided to come back home and I drove from there straight to Quebec City, stopping only for fuel and food and pee. I entered my home at exactly 11h30 pm the same day. One day, I'll tell all about that adventure I called "My Zoo Gorilla Trek".
Thank you MOTHERNATURE, thank you for telling me of your experience at the zoo with Elaine and Dan. I'll check on them in the Stud Book ... Better do it now ...
Elaine is now at Toledo Zoo in Ohio, she is there since April 91. She was born in the wild in 1966.
Dan, known as Dan I, was born on the same year in the wild and died of kidney failure in July 1975.
Together they had 1 daughter who lived only 11 months.
A little something to add to your souvenirs.
Thank you also for asking me to become your friend, I'm very proud to count you among mines.

Self-discipline is often estimated as an important component to be effective - be it research or profession or personal life. The traditional concept of discipline seems to be deceiving. It is often recognized as something that is associated with a set of firm guidelines, worry, power, exterior management and penalties. The misconception is probably a impact of the unnecessary attempt of most
With any Disciple Now program the key to creating it excellent is what you do with it. You can buy the best components on the globe but if they are not used effectively they will be of no use to you. One of the best methods you can create the little number of components you have bought much more efficient is to start up the ground and allow conversation. Many instructors and little number of
