Calling All WEangels.... Let's Give the Dixie Children a Christmas to Remember :)

Let's Take the Kids of Dixie to the Movies!

Testing Background Music Codes

Testing these for FireFox. Have not tried on IE yet but usually IE accepts most codes without problems. After posting this I will sign in on IE and see if there are any issues with these codes. Photo Story 3 Free from Microsoft

Photo Story 3 is a free Windows based program to create slide shows. If you don't already have it, you can find it HERE I don't usually do photos but thought I would try it out. Sound in Video Recordings

Some folks have had problems recording with sound. This works for most but maybe not all. On your lower right toolbar you should see a speaker icon where you adjust your volume for your computer.

Double click the speaker icon and a Play Control box should come up.

Bo turns up after three weeks



We had been quite concerned about Bo, who you may remember is a two year old male leopard who we are tracking via a GPS collar. We hadn't received any uploads from Bo's collar for three weeks and to say the least we were getting worried. However he has turned up alive and well and as you can see, he's been a busy boy. The collar stores data and uploads at set times if he is in cell phone range. Thankfully he has moved back into cell coverage. Our thanks to Lela and other ILP members who have been tracking Bo from their homes and keeping us updated. We don't always have a good Internet connection here in the bush, and rely on help from our friends. You can also join the ILP and help us track research animals.

Susan joins the ILP team


We have a new member of the ILP team. Susan Belling has joined us to help with our work in conservation. Susan is a qualified Game Ranger and has recently been leading overland Safaris through main land Africa. Susan wants to pout something back into conservation and has decided to work full time with the ILP. She has been training with Gerrie and Anton over the last weeks, investigating leopard issues on local farms and tracking leopards via telemetry. She is now joining Anton on her first Black Leopard investigation at the Dalton Trust in KZN. Where she will be putting her training into action under the supervision of head researcher Anton.
