About Me:
I am a senior--76 years young. grand mother to 6 children two boys and four girls. the oldest is 23 yrs and the youngest is 6 weeks! I love all animals, wild or domesticated. I am a big fan of the African animals both big and small. I am a follower of the eagles, which is how I found this site and am familiar with quite a few names of the jigga riders! Some of them also follow the eagles.

Hi Margaret - Thought I'd just pop in to say hello and see how you are faring. Is your wrist healing or do you know. How long has it been out of commision? If you broke it as a result if a fall you are lucky it's only your wrist! I'm still waiting for a reply to my question to the help page of the forum to see what's happening re:friend request.
Went to wedjuma a while ago and it's raining as hard there as it is here. Was beautiful all day - really warm too (14 degrees C) then about 4 o'clock the skies just opened up. Spent 20 minutes trying to find my poor cat who was outside - he was probably drier than I was looking for him! Silly cat lol. Silly me!!! I see you have a new grandchild - how lovely -a little girl? Where are your son and daughter-in-law living now?
Other than your wrist I hope you are well. Are you ready for winter? Brrrr

You will learn Margaret. Everyone is a beginner at some point. :) How wonderful to have a new grandbaby! They are special aren't they? My youngest granddaughter just turned 2 the 25th of this month. I hope sometime your son and daughter in law will be able to come to Canada so you can meet your new granddaughter in person.

hi Margaret. I haven't forgotten about you. I am still trying to figure out how to respond to your request. I have asked calista for some help and she has given me a couple of suggestions but unfortunately neither of them work. My page seems to be different then other peoples' (just changed yesterday) and I no longer have the little "add a friend" title at the left under our name. i am totally baffled!!! I also followed the eagles during the past season - I watched Hornby with peeks in on Sidney and Delta (esp after the Tiny fiasco and then Bandit) Thank goodness they all fledged safely!!! I'm really missing Hornby but am totally captivated by djuma!

Hi Margaret. What a lovely note you sent. I'm assuming your request is regarding a friend. Would love to be your friend but not sure how to do it. (I too am new to this site and haven't got everything figured out yet) I have sent a question to someone else so should hear back. I grew up in TO till I moved to Deep River to start teaching thne out to BC. Haven't been back for years - it's just soooo big now

Bo turns up after three weeks

We had been quite concerned about Bo, who you may remember is a two year old male leopard who we are tracking via a GPS collar. We hadn't received any uploads from Bo's collar for three weeks and to say the least we were getting worried. However he has turned up alive and well and as you can see, he's been a busy boy. The collar stores data and uploads at set times if he is in cell phone range. Thankfully he has moved back into cell coverage. Our thanks to Lela and other ILP members who have been tracking Bo from their homes and keeping us updated. We don't always have a good Internet connection here in the bush, and rely on help from our friends. You can also join the ILP and help us track research animals.

Susan joins the ILP team

We have a new member of the ILP team. Susan Belling has joined us to help with our work in conservation. Susan is a qualified Game Ranger and has recently been leading overland Safaris through main land Africa. Susan wants to pout something back into conservation and has decided to work full time with the ILP. She has been training with Gerrie and Anton over the last weeks, investigating leopard issues on local farms and tracking leopards via telemetry. She is now joining Anton on her first Black Leopard investigation at the Dalton Trust in KZN. Where she will be putting her training into action under the supervision of head researcher Anton. If you would like to welcome Susan then you can become a fan by selecting the link below.
