Hi Patty
Sorry to see your goodbye. I hope you have not been upset more by silly people. I have a philosophy that there are too many people in the world and that big is not better. Thank you for all the beautiful photos on your page. I shall miss them if you have really left WE. If so, good luck in your life. Best wishes Frances

Hi Patty:

Haven't seen you around in a couple. But of course, I hardly ever get on line at a normal time either. Ok and now seeing you changed your profile and it says Good Bye WE, does that mean what I think it means? What's up?

Thanks for the msg and photo - it really is appreciated! I miss being out too, but at this stage there isn't anyone who can direct - so I fill that chair quite a bit!! Keep Well. Liefde Lieschen

Hi Patty! TY so very much for getting back to me. I only asked you since I think it was you that linked the 'community guidelines' to me in your "Welcome", and I'm still getting a feel for how things operate 'round here.

Thanks sooo much for answering ...I can see how pages would get bogged down with tons of photos...no inconvenience at all using Photobucket (except that I don't have an acct. there...YET!). I may attempt a background photo.

I see you're an East Coaster, too! And if you don't mind, I'll add you to my friends!

See you around....Jan

Hi Patty,
thank you so much!!! Wondered why my pics were gone. I'll try to follow your link. It's sometimes a bit difficult for me as my time learning and using English is long ago ;).
And yes, my dog LOVES Agility. He's a two years old male Border Collie called Raven. His "real" name is very american ;) - "Navajo the Indian spirit".

Patty, thanks for the warm welcome, I have the same question as Karen, how do you take photos of the drive and then post them? I have analogx but don't have a clue how to crop them into jpeg format. I'd appreciate any help you could give me.

Thank you for the welcome. You have some great photos . Could I ask a question? How are you able to get photos from the drive? I can't figure it out :(

Patty, thank you for your kind welcome. The link you provided was very helpful. I don't quite understand how folks get the photo/video material that belongs to WE. So many lovely pictures adorning the pages!
I actually appreciate your layout. It's clear to read and easy on the eyes. Thank you!
Blessings, Rhonda

ILP in the USA

Along came Deb Weston.
We've been hoping to find someone to help with our social networking in the USA for a while, then along came Deb Weston.
Deb has been a supporter of the ILP for quite a while and came over to meet the team in Africa a few weeks ago. I'm pleased to announce that Deb has graciously offered to assist with social networking and fund raising for the ILP in the USA. So if you are in the USA, get in touch with Deb and let her know you are out there and care for the plight of wild leopards.

As most of you know, Kirsty Lynas has been working hard on social networking for the ILP in the UK ever since she finished her five month spell as a volunteer with us earlier this year.

Kirsty is continuing to work for us from the UK and co-ordinating with Deb who will cover the USA. Kirsty is also now managing the ILP membership scheme. All of those who have joined so far will be able to receive insider knowledge from Kirsty on a regular basis.

On that front, we need more folks to join the ILP membership scheme and soon, if we are to have any chance of saving the lives of Leopards. Sound dramatic? Well, a leopard was illegally shot this week and we were unable to prevent it.
That's one less leopard in the rapidly diminishing gene pool. If we all don't act soon there will be no leopards left in wild area's. That's no idle statement, our model shows a huge decline in the wild population. The genetic tipping point will come very soon, after which there will be no recovery. Please join the ILP membership scheme, we need your help.

ILP Membership Scheme

I want to walk into the office of the CEO of Mpumalanga Parks Board next week, armed with your support and confirm our help to prevent senseless killings of wild unfenced Leopards throughout the province.
Next year will be our ten year anniversary and the biggest yet for the ILP. Provincial authorities have no funds or people to tackle the issues at hand and have asked for our help. We must act now to conserve the dwindling leopard population. Time is slipping away, but we need funds to tackle the problems and mobilise a team. That is why we have put together a membership scheme. Please make a small donation (your choice, but please don't hold back), and become a member of the ILP. You'll receive regular updates from the front line of wildlife conservation and a voucher worth $380 which you can redeem against a 2010 Wildlife Safari with On Track Safaris.
Donations can be made by credit card via our UK Representatives Research Cam www.researchcam.com. All funds raised go to the ILP.

Thanks in advance
