About Me

I am a member and avid watcher at Hancock Wildlife Discussion Forum - where I volunteer as a Research Monitor and Forum Assistant!!
I also contribute to the Looduskalender Forum Where I mainly watch Black Storks in Summer!!

I started watching the Hornby eagles in 2006 - when someone sent me the link, and said "You have to watch this!!"
I am Sooo excited that I will be able to see them again through WE!!! I know you will all love them too!!

But now I have a problem - coming here to get used to WE means I am also hooked on the Safari Drives - can anyone find some extra hours in the day?? 24hrs are not enough!!

You always were good at solving mysteries. I guessed who you were today - and when you didn't answer my direct question in the chatroom I just knew. I noticed that name right at the beginning of the Hornby cam going on line, back in the spring - you posted a lot of good screen caps. But I never saw you in the chatroom. Now we know - about each other. Yes - I miss What IS It? too. ;-)

I watched it. I thought it was a feather blowing. I wish the cams didn't do their click to refresh every 20 min. I could handle it every hour but every 20 min. YEESH!. I reaslly wondering about the Delta nest. Isn't it past due?

Pat, I am sorry that I was not clear about my request. I would like the live stream link to the Sidney Eagles . If you do not have it , it's OK.

Thanks for your reply.

Wonder if maybe deleting the map and then re-installing it back would add all the friends. Don't have time to mess with it today - another time, but it is frustrating - AARGH

Hi Pat! Do you remember what you did to get friends on your friends map? Did you "grab'' the map app from the application menu, or from someone's page? eigouc was wondering why only certain friends show up on it...and I've been wondering the same. Thought if one added the map, friends that also had it would automatically show up. Not so. Any ideas????

GR8 to see so many of 'us' enjoying the drives while we wait for EAGLE eggs. How awesome is having the Hornby Family back...now if our beloved Sidney Nest would just appear all would be right with the world - LOL... BUT TRUE!!!

Hello Pat and welcome. Love your page and the photos! Great to see you here.
I received your message on HWF, but was having 'puter' issues. All OK now. Cheers BBE

Bo turns up after three weeks

We had been quite concerned about Bo, who you may remember is a two year old male leopard who we are tracking via a GPS collar. We hadn't received any uploads from Bo's collar for three weeks and to say the least we were getting worried. However he has turned up alive and well and as you can see, he's been a busy boy. The collar stores data and uploads at set times if he is in cell phone range. Thankfully he has moved back into cell coverage. Our thanks to Lela and other ILP members who have been tracking Bo from their homes and keeping us updated. We don't always have a good Internet connection here in the bush, and rely on help from our friends. You can also join the ILP and help us track research animals.

Susan joins the ILP team

We have a new member of the ILP team. Susan Belling has joined us to help with our work in conservation. Susan is a qualified Game Ranger and has recently been leading overland Safaris through main land Africa. Susan wants to pout something back into conservation and has decided to work full time with the ILP. She has been training with Gerrie and Anton over the last weeks, investigating leopard issues on local farms and tracking leopards via telemetry. She is now joining Anton on her first Black Leopard investigation at the Dalton Trust in KZN. Where she will be putting her training into action under the supervision of head researcher Anton. If you would like to welcome Susan then you can become a fan by selecting the link below.
