About Me:
We started a company called PixController, Inc back in 1999 in our garage. We have a line of multi-purpose motion-based controller products for animal scouting and wildlife research. Today the company has grown and moved into a nice small business where we design and manufacture state-of-the-art covert remote surveillance systems, motion-activated wildlife/scouting cameras, and wireless-triggered cellular and DVR camera systems.

We live in the a wooded suburb of Pittsburgh, PA in the town of Murrysville. Back in 2004 we started to setup a one of a kind wildlife webcam in which we have a main camera active 24/7, but we also have motion-activated cameras out in the woods about 1/2 mile from the main camera which will send a wireless video feed when activated. The video feed you're watching will switch over to these cameras when something is thee. You never know what you might see.

Being a part of Wild Earth has been a great opportunity for us. We truly appreciate all the staff at WE for making this part of our webcam broadcast.

Yes, this darn FLASH makes it harder for everyone! With Snapz, you have several options... you can control the area you want to shoot and take either a single shot or make a recording of the action.
Next time you come to Honolulu, you'll have to say hello! Long flight from the east coast, but they have some great prices for you guys now. We never get a break... they know they have us trapped ! :)

I live in Honolulu, Bill... on the edge of Waikiki. Most of us here at WE have programs on our computers that allow us to "capture" shots off the streaming cams. I'm on a mac, so I use Snapz Pro. I am going to be conflicted now that your site is up. I normally spend all my time in Africa, on the drives, but between drives, I'm going to be watching for a black bear in Pa! :)

I'm loving a return to Penns woods! I was born in Philly, grew up in Upper Darby, went to school in Shippensburg, but my true home is here in Hawaii! No, I have not seen the remote cameras yet. Are they on a different site? Was jazzed to see the turkeys and looking forward to seeing bears!

Bo turns up after three weeks

We had been quite concerned about Bo, who you may remember is a two year old male leopard who we are tracking via a GPS collar. We hadn't received any uploads from Bo's collar for three weeks and to say the least we were getting worried. However he has turned up alive and well and as you can see, he's been a busy boy. The collar stores data and uploads at set times if he is in cell phone range. Thankfully he has moved back into cell coverage. Our thanks to Lela and other ILP members who have been tracking Bo from their homes and keeping us updated. We don't always have a good Internet connection here in the bush, and rely on help from our friends. You can also join the ILP and help us track research animals.

Susan joins the ILP team

We have a new member of the ILP team. Susan Belling has joined us to help with our work in conservation. Susan is a qualified Game Ranger and has recently been leading overland Safaris through main land Africa. Susan wants to pout something back into conservation and has decided to work full time with the ILP. She has been training with Gerrie and Anton over the last weeks, investigating leopard issues on local farms and tracking leopards via telemetry. She is now joining Anton on her first Black Leopard investigation at the Dalton Trust in KZN. Where she will be putting her training into action under the supervision of head researcher Anton. If you would like to welcome Susan then you can become a fan by selecting the link below.
