it's in your nature

Hope this is okay, but I thought this post deserved a thread of it's own, and I'm hoping others will follow with added comments. My heart definitely skipped a beat when I logged back on and found I had missed the afternoon drive! ;^( But that is totally fine, because that means 'WE are back up and running. First I wanted to say, that besides being the 3 lonnggggggest days of my life (LOL!), I am so GRATEFUL and so very THANKFUL for the team at 'WildEarth! You guys are definitely the best. You've been trying for 3 days straight and finally succeeded in getting back online. This site has come to be the number one place where I spend my time on the net, and I've met so many awesome people, and I just want to thank you for all you do. Hope you guys can get some much needed sleep tonight and just know that all of us out here love you guys and very much appreciate every single thing you do, no matter how small or large it may seem. Some of us may never get to come over there and meet you and the animals in person, but we do feel like we know you and that we're all one big awesome family. Sorry, but I just can't say it enough, but thank you, thank you, thank you! **Cheers**

Agree with you PAM. Those guys at WE is absolutely the bestt. All they do for us viewers is fantastic. It´s in their nature :)))) THANKS !!!!!
Ditto on your sentiments Pam! Every morning, after turning on my computer, I would go to WE..... the past 3 mornings (which felt like forever) I would actually ask myself "what am I going to do now?". I was lost with WE starting my day. WE makes me smile, warms my heart with that African sun and keeps my mind and body at peace. I enjoy having the African sounds filling my home all day.
Thank you to all involved getting WE back up! I am so grateful it was just the mast that got hit by lightning and the damage could be fixed and no one was hurt.

Thanks to Herman and Simon trying to resolve the problem with no outside contact, to Graham for being a phone call away from Gowrie gate and to Pete for cutting your vacation short and coming back to WE early to help fix the problem. You all deserve a standing ovation to another job well done!
BRAVO!!!!!
I ditto Pam. As soon as breakfast is done, while hubbie's getting ready for work I have Djuma on. Weekends are terrible. I tell him "wait till the aft drive is over." I LOVE the archives. I can go check out seek points to see what I missed or make seek points if they aren't there. It's great o be able to go back & get the perfect scape you missed too or get the name of something. This is better then radio. The lovely sound of the woodland kingfisher, wishing I was there instead of here with all the snow. I've beciome more educated here then I ever did in school waaaay back.
Ive barely recovered lol
I am also grateful to the crew for getting us back up and running. Its funny because I did survive without WE once upon a time ;) but apparently that has changed. Im just happy WE are back.
Wow. What a nice Thank You. I'm sure many of us share your thoughts. WE people are the best.
My sentiments exactly, Pam. Well said. THANKS to everyone involved in getting WE back online. You guys are amazing!
Shure PAM is talking from my heart, as a fairly new member I noticed WE engagement and perfect information flow while having problems. "Thank You" all at WE for getting us back to nature...
I found WE yesterday and already have been on a drive this afternoon.
I was made so welcome that I feel a part of this fascinating group already.
The drive was amazing. impossibly I had an adrenalin rush at one point. Seeing the elephant at such close quarters. Viewing a perfect sunset.
Words cannot describe the sheer thrill of experiencing Africa so intimately. It is beyond my wildest dreams.
I am not able to fly longhaul so I will never get there in person, but this Site has enabled be to live a dream.
Many thanks to you all for making this old lady very happy.
Also please pass on my congratulations to Rory. He handled the vehicle and audience admirably for a first attempt. Well Done Rory. You were quite charming!...Pieter is also charming (So he doesn't feel left out) and has excellent teaching skills

All best wishes
Diana Aka Redmerlin
Pam you said it! WE rocks !!!!
I think it is AWESOME that you guys are still leaving comments in this thread and I hope more will follow. I just don't think some people realize what all goes into getting this all "live" to us all over the world. And I for one feel totally blessed. I have to tell you, I never thought much about Giraffes, until I started watching 'WE. (Yes, I remember when there were only soo many slots to fill, and after that, you were just left off the jigga. **sniff-sniff**) Well, the other day on a photo shoot at the zoo, I was literally about 6 ft away from one of these big guys. OMGosh!! I never realized they were so huge...LOL! And I've actually made a new friend in this one at the zoo, but that's another story.. My point being, 'WE opens up the door for lots of opportunities for tons of learning and tons of fun. Before 'WE I never even knew what a 'Dung beetle was (sorry to say. ;^) ! The past few wks have been a rollercoaster ride for some, but 'WE all can grow stronger because of it...say goodbye to old friends, and never forget them, and welcome the new with open arms. Thanks again to you ALL. **^^^^^**
I've only known WE for a couple of weeks but have already made so many new friends. Thank you to everyone involved for bringing us your wealth of knowledge together with the wonderful drives. Let's hope that this brings to the world's attention the beauties that nature has to offer.

Carol (ginger-d) xxxxx

Thanks again xxx

The Mystery of Discipline

Self-discipline is often estimated as an important component to be effective - be it research or profession or personal life. The traditional concept of discipline seems to be deceiving.
