WildEarth.TV

it's in your nature

Many of you have questions that you would like answered. WE have a way for you to ask the presenters questions by emailing Final Control (finalcontrol@wildearth.tv) The director chooses which questions to ask and reads them to the presenter. However, sometimes the questions are a little difficult for the presenter to answer or they have nothing to do with what is happening on the screen. This is the place to ask those sorts of questions of the WildEarth management.

Thank you thank you thank you.....the SOUND is WONDERFUL at Gowrie Dam!!!!!
If I was to pick, I would pick Steve, I thought he presented himself well and would fit in very good at WE. Wish we knew more of what they were going to be doing. Would they be working in FC too and on cam? Work on the Jigga?
I wish that things would work more often. Things always seem to be breaking down. WE keeps expanding, but doesn't seem to keep some things going. I think it would be nice to have this jigga as a back up and get a new one. Hint hint!
I so enjoy the drives and the late night chats learning about many things we haven't seen on the drives. You have so much to offer there, and the crew does a fantastic job. I always look forward to the next drive and the chats they all do. Would like to see Herman have a special show too. Many of us would like to know what goes on around the camp. It's rare we see anything behind the scene so to speak. We as viewers would like that too. Herman is great at doing that, and putting clips together. Gotta love Marcs new program, what a fantastic show!. We have already learned so much from it. Keep up the good work.
Sincerely,
Sal-Lee

Hello Graham, i agree with Sall-ee, Herman does a magnificent job of presenting, also Tara that would be great for her too Tara does a wonderful job of presenting i was so surprised on last week on her first drive in presenting on Wildearth how she did it very well, Marc is a Paragon in himself his talks shows are brilliant his voice is very clear and precise, please keep up with good work Graham and for the members we appreciate every little help. Thank you
Faithfully,

I enjoyed all three of the presenters over the last week and each had his or her own special way, just as the current WE crew does.

Marc is truly REmarcable. I love everything about him, but particularly how he can take a drive that is rained out or unable to happen for whatever reason, and turn it into a personal and informative 3 hour radio talk show. Truly a REmarcable talent and very much appreciated. May I suggest that one of the others who were to go on the drive that day might come into FC and help him out when possible? It's tough to maintain that level for 3 hours all alone.

Finally, not a question but a personal feeling -- Pieter and Lieschen. I always felt it was inevitable that they would leave. I guess I was thinking it would be when they had a child and not now. Both have been the face of WE, and particularly Pieter. They are going to be deeply missed and memory of what they have done will stay with those who 'knew' them forever.

However, next time we see new presenters, instead of saying that no one is leaving WE, they are just expanding, please just say nothing. I felt somewhat betrayed by that when in fact it was announced a few days later that Pieter and Lieschen were leaving.

Keep up the good work.
Maureen, well said. I couldn't agree more. It would be nice if Marc had someone to watch chat while he talked. He has so much to offfer, and so willing to do a radio talk show. It really is informative, and being a drive was canceled because of one reason or another, Marc has turned nothing into something. Answering questions we normally wouldn't ask on a drive, and many don't get asked to them.
I feel the same about expanding, and then no sooner than we hear that... two are leaving! A short test drive isn't enough, as I would think they would have to know more than just be on the Jigga. There are so many things they have to do . You have a crew at WE that really does a lot for you. Many things in FC need sorting out, and then with the Jigga things need attention. You have to have a well rounded person. This can't be easy to find.
Keep up the good work here at WE. We DO love what you are doing.

Ditto Sall-ee and Maureen i agree with everything you said, you are used to the presenters around and it really hurts when they leave suddenly, but they are entitled to leave but it is a shock to our system as they are so popular with the members as the other presenters are.

Please keep up the good work team

I'm sad that we are without sound again. Last night I could only find 38 viewers on the feeds...I think it makes a lot of difference if the sound is missing.

Cheers

Merilyn
as far as the sound goes from what I've heard it's moisture penetrating the wires problem. That can be a tough nut to crack and I'm sure sooner or later it will be addressed. As far as far as Pieter and Lieschen leaving, thanks for the great job you have done and do wish you the best. My opinion on the three guest presenters are Tara first Steve second and Jared bringing up the rear.

Does management ever reply to posts in this forum anymore? Hmmmm If it isn't being used anymore, why have it?
Hi Maureen,

It was never said that no-one was leaving, at least not by Graham, Emily or me. WE ARE expanding and you'll see more than two new people arriving over the coming period. This was all we could share at the time as Pieter and Lieschen had asked to be allowed to announce their departure themselves after they returned to Djuma. We of course respected this. During the trials, which due to the short time available took place before Pieter and Lieschen returned, we could herefore only comment on the expansion part of the reason for the trials.

We could not and did not say nobody was leaving as that would indeed have been a lie, so we kept quiet on that matter. If our moderators did mention anything, or said they were unaware of anybody leaving, then this would have been because they indeed were not informed until just before the announcement by Pieter and Lieschen on the PM drive after their return to Djuma.

I can see how this situation made people draw the conclusion that no one was leaving, and agree that this is unfortunate, but this could not be helped in view of the timing of the trials and Pieter and Lieschen's return and the short time available from then until the would actually leave.

Not sure what you'r referring to Sal-Lee? I am not aware of any unanswered questions at the moment on this forum and if you look back you'll see most are answered with one or at most a few days!

If I've missed one, pleas repost. If oyu're referring to Maureen's comment (not a question) then I've responded to this now.

Thanks for the explanation, Peter. I really didn't expect a reply, as it was just my feelings, not a question. I know you are WAY busy and thank you. I don't recall who said no one was leaving but I know it was more than one person, and not in chat. It really doesn't matter though. I really appreciate you taking the time to write. I love WE and all involved, and am sure the new presenters will steal our hearts just as Pieter and Lieschen did.

The Mystery of Discipline

Self-discipline is often estimated as an important component to be effective - be it research or profession or personal life. The traditional concept of discipline seems to be deceiving. It is often recognized as something that is associated with a set of firm guidelines, worry, power, exterior management and penalties. The misconception is probably a impact of the unnecessary attempt of most
